I would like to propose to have DNV alternative SCF formula for the correction of Efthymiou SCF equation.

Refer to DNV-RP-C203 (2021), Table B-1 shows alternative SCF equation for the Chord/Brace Crown location i.e. Eq 6b and 7b, see attached picture. These equations are not implemented in SACS.

However, with past my experience working with DNV, they always recommend to use it and they always complaint about our calculation results by using original Efthymiou equation 6a and 7a especially when we define inappropriate chord length and also include short chord effect into account.

Currently, they claim that DNV SESAM is more superior than Bentley SACS because of this effect.
